IBS Kicks Off Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2011 with Blogging 101 Seminar

ILIGAN CITY — To kick off Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2011, Iligan Bloggers Society hosted a Blogging 101 Seminar last September 22, 2011. Forty-five bloggers and blogging enthusiasts gathered at Mindanao Sanitarium Hospital Conference Room for the said activity.
Blogging enthusiasts and new bloggers in Iligan City and its neighboring towns and cities were encouraged to attend the Blogging 101 Seminar, which was a venue in learning the basic of blogging. Topics discussed were: (1) Overview of Blogging by Mr. Richard Celeste, Marketing Director of Iligan Bloggers Society; (2) Essentials of Online Article Writing by Prof. Venus Parmisana, Professor of MSU-IIT; (3) Basic Blog Design by Mr. Jerick Almeda, a member of Iligan Bloggers Society and a web graphic artist; (4) Photography 99 by the world-renowned photojournalist, Mr. Robert “Bobby” Timonera; and (5) Travel Blogging by Ms. Lisa Marie Mirasol, Iligan Bloggers Society Web Content Manager and resident Pinoy Travel Blogger of Iligan City.
Gwapito was admittedly inspired by the seminar and immediately bought a travel domain. Feature Them also made a worthy comment, “Blogging 101 was certainly a wonderful learning experience.” on their post, deeming the success in inspiring bloggers and creating a warm blogosphere in and around Iligan City.
The Blogging 101 Seminar was a pre-event activity for this year’s biggest convergence of Mindanao-based bloggers, the 5th Mindanao Bloggers Summit, which will be held on October 29-30, 2011 at Celadon Pensionne House. This year’s summit banners the theme, “One Green Mindanao: Mobilizing Bloggers to Promoting Sustainable Lifestyle.”
